Event description:
WRITE AMERICA is a free weekly series of live video readings and conversations started by the writer Roger Rosenblatt to explore how books might bridge the deep divisions in our nation. In Rosenblatt’s words, “A writer’s words are a tacit call for people to gather round and discover or rediscover their connections to one another.” The series includes Paul Auster, Rita Dove, and Alice McDermott, among many others.

On March 22, Francis Writer-in-Residence Anne Fadiman will read from her work, along with the nonfiction writer George Howe Colt (to whom she’s married) and the poet Carl Phillips. They’ll talk about their work with each other and with the audience.

The event will be streamed on Book Revue’s Crowdcast channel. A description of the event and a link to register are at https://www.bookrevue.com/write-america-colt-fadiman-phillips.
