Please join us for a reading and conversation with Briallen Hopper on her book Hard to Love: Essays and Confessions at the Yale Bookstore, 77 Broadway, New Haven on Saturday, February 23 at 2:00pm. Briallen Hopper is an assitant professor of creative nonfiction at Queens College, CUNY. She lives in New York City.

Hard to Love is a smart and heartfelt collection of essays that honors many kinds of significant relaionships - between friends, roommates, caregivers, adult siblings - that are often seen as secondary. Whether she’s wiritng about Joan Didion, online dating, or sperm banks, Hopper writes about love and friendship with originality, wit, and a mostly open heart.
